Heat Resistance
Due to is particular coating composition, aluminized materials
has an excellent heat resistance. No alteration in the coating
is observed up to 450°C at higher temperature, the formation
of an iron/aluminium alloy gives the coating a greyish appearance.
Can be used up to 600°C. Since this alloy layer has a
high fusing point it will not melt even if exposed to a temperature
above the fusing point of aluminium.
Mechanical Strength
The tensile strength is 30kg f/mm2 and elongation 34%, which
is best suitable for bending, bulging, swaging and lock forming.
Reflectivity
Aluminized materials reflects the incident radiant heat.
This property allows its use as an efficient thermal barrier
or heat reflector in many high temperature applications.
Corrosion Resistance
Good corrosion resistance in auto exhaust system and industrial
acid chemicals but less resistance to industrial alkaline
chemicals.
Tokura produces aluminized pipes of outside diameter 12.7mm
up to 101.6mm with various thickness. A special technique
is applied to control the inner bead height which is made
possible by our latest sophisticated machine. This is much
advantage for bending, swaging, bulging, lock forming and
very less wear and tear on toolings used.
